Land Rover Will Return in… 007th Heaven

Committed readers of our blog will know that we take a keen interest in all things Land Rover – from the latest news, to movie cameos. And when it comes to films, we all know the biggest films those glorious Landys star in are the Bond movies. Recently, we discussed here the upcoming Bond movie, Spectre, and the cars that had been announced. We had only one question then: Which Landys will be cast in the film?

Well, it seems our query was heard by Eon Productions, who make the super-spy franchise. Today we can reveal precisely which Land Rovers will feature in Spectre – as the car-makers continue their long association with MI6’s finest security officer.

Jaguar Land Rover have unveiled the latest vehicles from their lines to put in a cameo. First up, the Jaguar C-X75, a sports car which is fitted with technology from Williams Advanced Engineering, will play a role in an awesome high-speed pursuit through Rome.

Then there’s the big beasts. Both the Range Rover Sport SVR and the Land Rover Defender Big Foot. Audiences around the world will see these two monster vehicles in an exciting Austrian set-piece. The scenes involving the Sport SVR and the Big Foot have already been filmed, and we know, from on-set photos, that the Big Foot ends up [SPOILER ALERT] scratched and dented, on fire and on its roof.

We reckon these two vehicles are a pretty good choice for Bond, James Bond. After all, Jaguar Land Rover reckon that the Sport SVR is the fastest and most powerful Landy they’ve ever built. Couple that with the fact that the Big Foot isn’t just a cute name dreamed up by the marketing department; the car features massive off-road tyres with a 37-inch diameter and enhanced body protection. Big enough for Bond? You bet!
